Text2Scan.com turns paper documents into digital formats and files.  Our first step is to turn all documents into .pdf (Adobe® Portable Document Format™).  We go to PDF because it's quick and easy- and minimizes paper/ document handling!  Other familiar formats can then be created from that PDF.

PDF files are excellent for reducing paper document storage of tax files, business papers, patient records, etc. into economically packaged digital storage.

Text2Scan.com offers self-preparation options to trim cost by preparing the files before sending them to us for processing.  DIY (Do It Yourself) customers can use the FILENAME and BOOKMARK options to setup their PDF files and Text2Scan.com software will do the rest.  The customer's job would be to insert laser-printed instructions at the beginning of new files, or wherever in those files they would like bookmarks inserted.  See the File Naming and Bookmark page for more details.

Searchable Documents- Text2Scan.com offers two levels for your consideration.  Often, converting PDF into PDF with Hidden Text is the quickest and most appropriate method.  This low-level OCR (Optical Character Recognition) makes the image searchable and is great for quick searches, like those provided by search software such as Google® Mini™, which can ferret out factual information for researchers and paralegals.

Alternatively, we can provide a much deeper form of OCR, to convert the file to editable text formats, like Microsoft® Word™, Rich Text Format, and ASCII text.

Legal Databases- PDF files can be quickly converted to TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) files for inclusion in legal software databases, like Sanction® and Summation®.  Text2Scan.com and our parent company, Printergy® Digital Services, can also provide a host of other options for your legal needs, like DocHighway™, our online digital document repository, or YesLaw™ synchronized video depositions.
